Lori Cloutier serves as a Co-Leader of the Plastic Solutions Task Force, a part of Rotary’s Environmental Sustainability Rotary Action Group (ESRAG). ESRAG was formed to empower Rotarians worldwide to take actions to our environment and stabilize our climate. Plastic Solutions Task Force is working to address root causes of plastic pollution, and to help develop a global network to rethink and influence how we create, use and dispose of plastic. Eric Lazarri, of the Civic Center Conservancy, will talk about the past and the future of Civic V+Center Park. Civic Center Park, between the state capitol and the Denver City and County Building has gone through a lot of phases, from grand central gathering place for Denver citizens, to derelict man camp and back again. It appears that renovations, new care and restoration and a concerted effort to bring it back to its origins are winning the day. Club members are invited to visit Denver Water and learn more about the amazing work that it does. Denver Water proudly serves high-quality water and promotes its efficient use to 1.5 million people in the city of Denver and many surrounding suburbs. Established in 1918, the utility is a public agency funded by water rates and new tap fees, not taxes. It is Colorado’s oldest and largest water utility. This meeting will not be available on Zoom.
