Metro Caring Food Packaging
One solution Metro Caring adopted was to purchase food in bulk and then repackage it.  That required more money, more volunteers, and a space to store and repackage the food from 50-pound bags into 1 ½ - 2-pound bags.

Rotary Clubs of Denver Cherry Creek and Denver Mile High came together to work with Metro Caring to respond to the increased demand.

Cherry Creek Rotary Club secured a 20,000 square foot warehouse for Metro Caring to use free of charge and has been running the activities at the warehouse.
Expert precision is important, so no food is wasted.

Food was carefully measured and packaged.  Denver Mile High Rotarians had been volunteering to repackage the food on an ad hoc basis and the Club now has a standing monthly shift at the warehouse.
