DMHR Kicks Off New School Year at Harrington Elementary

Denver Mile High Rotary Club is proud to kick off the new school year at Harrington Elementary School with the 2nd year of our Food for Thought program - where we pack 375 bags of food for the kids to take home to share with their families over the weekend. Recognizing a "need to feed" in our own community, DHMR's Local Community Service has prioritized this program with both funds (every dollar spent goes to purchasing food) and volunteers (8 Rotarians meet each Friday during the school year to pack and distribute the food bags directly to classrooms; we also partner with other organizations such as Colorado Access to make quick work of the task...and enjoy coffee afterwards in the school library sponsored by a local church!)
